Sunley Home Building Centre

Locally Owned and Operated Family Business!

              WELCOME to our Home!

As a provider of building materials and hardware in the local community, there are a number of qualities about Sunley Home Building Centre which make it stand out. Reflecting the corporate ideology of Home Hardware, which strives to provide a welcoming, friendly and "Home-like" atmosphere, Sunley Home building Center is a locally and family-operated business.

Dave Sunley started in the building supply industry in 1976. Ready to be a owner, Dave teamed up with his wife, Pat Sunley began their first year of operation in August 1997 as Beaver Lumber, and moved to their present location when they purchased Home Building Centre in 2000. Commencing with a staff of 10 in 1997, they have since grown to employ 25 individuals. Dave and Pat's two daughters, Shanna and Brandis, both have worked at the store since a young age. Shanna has moved on to focus on other things, Brandis still works at the store.

Recognizing the need for community involvement, the store contributes to nearly every local charity which solicits for help, including Communities in Bloom,  SPEC, Kiwanis, The Toy Lending Library, Brooks Seniors Lodge, the Brooks Public Library, and the Brooks Food Bank. Moreover, the business has sponsored many sports events and teams such as the Duchess Girl's baseball Team,  the Brooks Curling Association Bonspiels, Brooks skating academy, Grasslands soccer, and the Lacrosse Association.

In the future, the City of Brooks can expect Sunley Home Building Center to continue to grow, meet the needs of customers, to offer employment, and to support and invest in local organizations.
